A Little About Parelli Natural Horsemanship

The greatest resource that I have found on my quest to become a better equestrian is the Parelli system. Much of what I have learned about equine behariour and training has been because I've taken time to study this system of natural horsemanship. I prefer natural horsemanship for a number of reasons:

• Emphasis on relationship between horse and man.
• Less traumatizng for the horse.
• Learn the equine language.
• Horse does amazing things for you because they want to -- not because they have to.
• Safer than traditional methods.
• Developes you as a person.

I believe that Pat and Linda Parelli have an important role to play in the transformation from traditional methods to natural horsemanship. They have a gift for explaining things and making people understand what it is they are doing. People are learning more about the benefits of natural equipment and freestyle riding. It is amazing what you and your horse can accomplish naturally.
